passwdqc has had a bunch of new features and quality of life improvements since 1.4. 2.0.1 also fixes handling of CPPFLAGS and LDFLAGS - this could lead to unintended behaviour or errors with e.g. FORTIFY_SOURCE or lto before.
Please drop in-between unstable versions after stabilization (keep current stable too, though)
