just checked ..

since upstream always use the same name of the release tarball - “glossaries.zip" (which is a bad release scheme..)
and they've updated the current URL of release zip to version 4.48 at Oct 20 2021

so this is probably a false bug report which mean users shouldn't directly use upstream URL to download

and besides, giving a version bump for the new 4.48 version is better way to fix?

I updated my PR to 4.52 (released on 2022-11-03 according to ctan) and updated the bug's title.

    dev-tex/glossaries: Bump to 4.49 and switch to HTTPS
    
    SRC_URI still used plain HTTP, switching to HTTPS with this bump.
