Could this be ruby related? It compiles fine with ruby (2.5) and (2.6).

Or maybe rust? No problems with rust-1.52.1 here.

    dev-cpp/string-theory: version bump to 3.5
    
    compiles and works with ja2-straciatella-0.17.0
    
    ionen's note: ran into #800245 with 3.4 but 3.5 fixed it
