that is very strange error. are you sure the filesystem you do the build on is ok? the file is certainly fine and is a valid tar.xz also > Unsupported type of integrity check; not verifying file integrity seems xz-utils are misbehaving mine is fine though: xz -vt /var/cache/distfiles/notmuch-0.32.1.tar.xz /var/cache/distfiles/notmuch-0.32.1.tar.xz (1/1) 100 % 708.2 KiB / 4,880.0 KiB = 0.145 same version as yours, app-arch/xz-utils-5.2.5

I've added the workaround, but it seems it just have to be default. It's silly to depend on this flag for some tarballs. OFC unless there's a really good reason to have filters disabled.
