Seems like it'll require expedited stabilisation as 21.05 is the current stable version in Gentoo and it's affected: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/poppler/poppler/-/issues/1087#note_942440.
I don't know who we're waiting on here? reavertm hasn't been around much this year. I don't think it makes sense to wait for him. kde/printing/office: I think it's up to you.
