This appears to be an issue with dev-libs/cdk not installing a symlink /usr/lib64/libcdkw.so If I create that symlink and have it point to /usr/lib64/libcdkw.so.6 then this compile succeeds.
(In reply to Jeremy Stent from comment #8) > This appears to be an issue with dev-libs/cdk not installing a symlink > /usr/lib64/libcdkw.so If I create that symlink and have it point to > /usr/lib64/libcdkw.so.6 then this compile succeeds. Thanks!
The bug has been closed via the following commit(s): https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=2fec2a9762b893d6e497445c4f79df26e438735e commit 2fec2a9762b893d6e497445c4f79df26e438735e Author: Sam James <sam@gentoo.org> AuthorDate: 2021-05-19 03:17:56 +0000 Commit: Sam James <sam@gentoo.org> CommitDate: 2021-05-19 03:17:56 +0000 dev-libs/cdk: drop libtool In some cases, configure seems to be producing a Makefile with a broken install target (which lacks the needed libtool install finalisation). Let's just disable libtool for now, we don't need it.
