Looks like it works - it builds and installs fine, and having manually run the test suite all tests pass.
(I'm interested in this because nodeenv is a dependency of dev-vcs/pre-commit)
It’s considered completely okay to add Python targets to packages if you’ve tested them and the test suite passes. There’s enough to do without waiting for ACKs. I did the same but really, just commit it.
