Please update to 0.97. Why updating: Because the exising version 0.94 dirties the screen with error messages at start and upon some key strokes due to ruby incompatibilities. I've tested 0.97 with success like this: - orig repo downloaded as zip from https://github.com/Pistos/diakonos - base dir renamed to diakonos-0.97 - tar.bz2 created - existing ebuild renamed, copied - manifest created (Consider upgrading EAPI from 5 to 7, not tried here.) Why this ruby based editor may be considered relevant (yes, the project is *not* dead): AFAIK this is the only console based editor in the Gentoo repo that has keyboard shortcuts working out of the box that windows users expect to work; most importantly shift + arrow to select text, ctrl-c to copy etc. So, whenever you need to satisfy such needs and don't fear ruby behind, try diakonos, also over ssh.
