Description Botykai Zsolt 2005-01-13 04:53:11 UTC
Currently I just upgraded to xfce 4.2 rc3 and some of my system update included torsmo(Which i'm in love too).
But now it seems to me that there is some problem: when I start torsmo it
draws on the screen, but then disappears. After moving some window to (or
over) that area of the desktop then move back torsmo reappears, then - as it
updates - disappears again :-(
Didn't know if it's a torsmo or xfdesktop problem, but the guys @
bugzilla.xfce told that it shoul be a torsmo problem.
My things are:
$ torsmo -V
torsmo 0.18 compiled Jan  5 2005
$ xfdesktop -V
This is xfdesktop version 4.1.99.3 for Xfce 4.1.99.2
built with GTK+-2.4.14, linked with GTK+-2.4.14.
Just tried the solution suggested in this bug:
http://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=610
But this:
# torsmo -w `xprop -root XFCE_DESKTOP_WINDOW | sed 's/.*# \(.*\)/\1/g'`
doesn't help, torsmo still flashes, and disappears as it updates.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. upgrade torsmo and xfce to it's very latest packages
2. run torsmo
3.

xfce people - any idea?
Comment 2 Botykai Zsolt 2005-01-31 23:12:53 UTC
It's not that bad for now as I updated to torsmo-0.18-r2.
I mean it displays much better now, so it doesn't disappears as every reload. But if I move some window over it, the characters and even the information are broken until I cover that whole area with some window and quickly uncover.
It never happened with xfce 4.06 and torsmo 0.17-*
