Let's just do arches where it's useful for now and drop keywords for the cluster stuff on alpha/ia64 unless/until someone requests it.

We're very interested in seeing Lmod working on aarch64 and ppc64le next to x86_64 in the context of the EESSI project (https://github.com/EESSI/gentoo-overlay/issues/26).

Can we help with getting this issue resolved somehow?

My main query was if somebody out there wanted it on the whole array of arches here. Let's do the most common ones (including arm64 and ppc64) and go from there.

luajit can't be keyworded for sparc:

@ernsteiswuerfel: could you test ppc, ppc64? Thanks!

arm64 done

On ppc64 luajit-2.1.0_beta3-r2 fails to build straightforward with:

lj_arch.h:428:2: error: #error "No support for PowerPC 64 bit mode (yet)"
428 | #error "No support for PowerPC 64 bit mode (yet)"

lmod-8.4.20 fails 2 tests on ppc64:

Total: 123

passed: 121

diff R 18.5 rt/spider/spider/t1

The rest of the tatt-generated builds succeed.
Comment 15 Kenneth Hoste 2021-04-28 06:09:10 UTC
As far as I know luajit is not required by Lmod though?

lmod builds fine with regular lua, yes. tatt tested it because it's listed here in the keyword request.

All arches done.

It looks like ~arm64 was never keyworded for sys-cluster/lmod?
