Yes, so as usual we have to wait for the next upstream release...
Comment 4 Ionen Wolkens gentoo-dev 2021-02-16 12:40:40 UTC
There is also already bug #762994 for this, was about to mark duplicate but doesn't change these always have to wait even if there's a patch.

Then again, this patch is very trivial (include adds an include).
Comment 6 Markus Giese 2021-02-16 15:14:00 UTC
hey guys, I have no idea, whether I should apply some patch (how) or wait for an updated ebuild ?
Comment 7 Ionen Wolkens gentoo-dev 2021-02-16 15:20:40 UTC
Reasonable thing to do when using out-of-tree modules is to not jump on new major kernel branches right away.

Just keep using 5.10.x for now, it'll be supported for a very long time.
Comment 8 Markus Giese 2021-02-16 16:08:31 UTC
I switched to the 5.11 branch because of the better performance for Ryzen systems..

but I get your point
Comment 9 Ionen Wolkens gentoo-dev 2021-02-16 16:20:24 UTC
If really want to use the patch now (from the other bug), then you can use a user patch:
https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki//etc/portage/patches

Not that I tried the patch so can't help beyond that.
