The only version of dev-ml/findlib available right now is 1.8.1-r1. While dev-ml/findlib-1.8.1 used to be compatible with <dev-lang/ocaml-4.09.0, this is not anymore the case for the current dev-ml/findlib version. However, upgrading to dev-ml/ocaml-4.09.0 breaks compatibility of unison:2.48 with unison installations shipped by other major Linux distributions, such as Debian buster, see bug #755257 or bug #757735. Hence, please provide a dev-ml/findlib version that is compatible with <dev-lang/ocaml-4.09.0. Reproducible: Always
Sorry Stefan. I've not been ignoring you - just been busy with everything else and wanted to have time to think properly about a solution here. I guess I need to restore the old findlib with a < dep for now?

Let's try the easier one first and go from there. Maybe nudging people into an upgrade with my first area (or explicitly not) will somehow be needed, we'll see. With the *other bugs*, I've done some reading and I think I'm happy with what we need to do now. I don't want to rush applying the fix before I have to go do some other things, but I'll put this firmly near the top of the TODO. Thanks for your help!
