The ebuild includes a patch - radeon-profile-daemon-20190603-run_subdir.patch that places the daemon's socket file in a /var/run subirectory. This directory is not created when starting the systemd unit for the daemon. Adding RuntimeDirectory=radeon-profile-daemon to the systemd unit fixes the issue. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Emerge radeon-profile and radeon-profile-daemon on systemd machine 2. Run the daemon and the user program. 3. The user program won't be able to connect to the daemon.
