This affects sci-libs/symengine-0.7.0 too.
It compiles successfully with USE=-llvm. I wonder whether this is just an llvm compatibility issue, i.e. whether symengine requires llvm-10 (or earlier)?

A minimal reproducer is the following CMakeLists.txt file: cmake_minimum_required(VERSION 2.8.12) project(symengine) set(SYMENGINE_LLVM_COMPONENTS asmparser core executionengine instcombine mcjit native nativecodegen scalaropts vectorize support transformutils) find_package(LLVM REQUIRED ${SYMENGINE_LLVM_COMPONENTS}) llvm_map_components_to_libnames(llvm_libs_direct ${SYMENGINE_LLVM_COMPONENTS}) This CMakeLists.txt file configures successfully with llvm-11 in a Debian container, but fails for llvm-12 onwards on my Gentoo machines.
