Dear treecleaner@: I'm still able to reproduce this issue right now. Since it has not been fixed for a long time, I'd suggest to evaluate if it is the case to remove this package from the tree. Thanks

I would like to take over maintainership of this software. I've supplied an ebuild and needed patches for the latest version of plan as well as the necessary patches. It builds and runs on my machine. Please test and see if we can stabilize on amd64
Please note the author has update his webpage (https://www.bitrot.de/plan.html). The current version is 1.12. For some reason I could not get the FTP to work, but the author has kindly provided me this HTTPS upon e-mail request: https://jeeves.bitrot.de/plan-1.12.tar.gz
Please make a single git-appliable patch to bump this, if you want to save it. Otherwise I'll look into last-riting it soon. https://git-scm.com/docs/git-format-patch https://mijingo.com/blog/creating-and-applying-patch-files-in-git

Sorry for not being clear, I mean something we can apply to our ebuild repository. So, https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Gentoo_Github and something like this is the outcome: https://sources.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/patch/?id=731bf9304fd34657fbdbb1f8e3b4653bcc20aa16 you can make a github pull request too, we'd prefer that.
Sorry Joonas, I'm brand new to Gentoo and lack the necessary skills :/ I hope someone can pick it up, otherwise I understand it if this package is dropped.
I just tried writing an ebuild for 1.12, which is currently the latest upstream release, but it also failed to what seemed to be a gcc error. So yeah, someone needs to make this compile with up-to-date ~unstable system to save it.
