Using "US, intl, with dead keys" layout, dead keys are not working with Qt apps when using wayland backend. With x11 backend typing ' + space the ' appears. With wayland only the space appears. Umlauts are also affected I've only observed this wit Qt applications like konsole or kwrite. GTK apps like firefox oder eclipse are working correctly. Please test with kde-plasma/plasma-workspace-5.20.5-r2, it contains a fix for XKB variable setup in wayland startup.
