Description Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2020-05-28 07:16:23 UTC
This is an auto-filed bug because sys-block/mbuffer fails to compile.
The issue was originally discovered on amd64, but it may be reproducible on other arches as well.
If you think that a different summary clarifies the issue better, feel free to change it.
Attached build log and emerge --info.

Error is:

> configure: error: unable to find objdump

I wonder about this. Possible that this is related to your specific system where you are moving toolchain packages around? Because ebuild itself is using autotools and doing

> AC_PATH_PROGS(OBJDUMP,objdump gobjdump)
> [...]
>
> if test -z "$OBJDUMP"; then
> AC_MSG_ERROR([unable to find objdump])
> fi

I don't think a `tc-export objdump` will fix it.
Comment 4 Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2020-06-02 06:26:32 UTC
This is because of:
sys-devel/gcc-config -native-symlinks
sys-devel/binutils-config -native-symlinks
