Only version in tree is 17.02.00, and if I read the numbering right, this is over three years old, probably because the package is maintainer-needed. I don't know how they decide when to do a new release, but it does look like they are at least somewhat matched with Ubuntu releases. I just changed the name of the ebuild from fwts-17.02.00.ebuild to fwts-20.03.00.ebuild with no other changes, and it compiled fine. I would also suggest changing the HOMEPAGE to https://launchpad.net/fwts and the old HOMEPAGE simply pointed to an Ubuntu page of the man page. Also, as it compiled fine with gcc-10.1.0, I will try to make this a blocker of https://bugs.gentoo.org/707000.
Thank you for the report. There are several forks. We have to verify which is the proper source. Could also be: https://launchpad.net/~firmware-testing-team
I took a quick look, and don't really know which is more appropriate. Just changing the name of the ebuild worked fine (I've run it with no crashes/errors, but not really tried all the options) so it might be worth figuring out which variation that actually pulls from. At least there are now options available.
