With EAPI-7 bump at least virtual/pkgconfig should belong to BDEPEND instead of DEPEND. Now there is also dev-vcs/git dep, which if only executed belongs to BDEPEND, but if it gets linked, should probably be DEPEND+RDEPEND. Could you check how git is used with this package and update dependencies accordingly?
'dev-vcs/git' is only required for generation of a header file at build time as far as I'm aware; there's a fixed bug relating to adding the dependency and I've added a comment mentioning the fix. Dependencies should now be updated. I wasn't sure if a full revbump would be needed for such a minor change, but opted to do one anyways.
