Since some years I maintain a personal ebuild.

But different from the gentoo one it uses the patched QT provided by the same project. Problem here is that the patched QT does not build with GCC 9.3 but still relies on GCC 8.4 being available.

And I have no idea how to fix that. (For me and the company I work for I decided that going with GCC 8.4 is acceptable for now)

If that is no issue I could step as Proxy-Maintainer as and our products heavily rely on wkhtmltopdf there is no migration in the next 6 month planned.

If their version is so far behind that it can't build with >=GCC-9 (also, likely still needs py2?) then that relegates this well into personal overlay territory, sorry. Another example how upstream bundling leads to an impasse.

Did you look into any alternatives to wkhtmltopdf yet?
