Created attachment 612408 [details] timemaster.service As it stands, net-misc/linuxptp is of rather limited usefulness in Gentoo because it offers neither OpenRC scripts nor systemd units. Someone who uses OpenRC will have to take care of the former but I am happy to offer my version of timemaster.service. This is arguably the most useful service to have for linuxptp because timemaster automatically brings up ptp4l, phc2sys and chronyd/ntpd with appropriately integrated configuration.
