I did ask for comments. ;) Changing is easy though and can be scripted in kde overlay. It shouldn't happen more than once in a release life cycle, and hence no more complaints about --changed-deps rebuilds.
(while it currently has plenty of kde5.eclass fallback code inside, this will all be gone soon as those ebuilds are being phased out fast)
