Okay, if there's still no maintainer, I'm ready to take responsibility for these packages. So the first task is to update all the tools to current versions and upgrade ebuilds to new EAPI?
Yes, and probably killing one of the eclasses that only constructs SRC_URI. Though I suppose someone will remove it all anyway in two days, so better wait for that and start from scratch then.
Just re-add them when ready.
