dev-cpp/cpp-hocon-0.1.4-r1 can't be compiled with boost 1.72 due to the issue reported here: https://github.com/puppetlabs/cpp-hocon/commit/caab275509826dc5fe5ab2632582abb8f83ea2b3 Please note that bumping cpp-hocon to 0.2.1 (latest release) is not enough. I've been able to build it by renaming the ebuild to 0.2.1 and adding the above patch in /etc directory. If needed, I can provide the full ebuild even though probably it's faster to write it directly :) Reproducible: Always
