net-nds/smbldap-tools currently has a RDEPEND on net-nds/openldap and net-fs/samba, but I believe it is not needed (for openldap, you can change the bind server, e.g. a client could connect to any server). Don't think any samba-provided functionality is used either. Debian package doesn't have the deps either: https://packages.debian.org/sid/admin/smbldap-tools
