With app-admin/grubconfig, you can install grub only to MBR (or partition superblocks and floppies!), not UEFI. (Read README) This suggests it only supporst GRUB-1, which is no longer there in the portage tree. IIUC this package is obsolete. Its homepage is already lost, too. Let's drop it now.
