Hi all, there is an issue with media-sound/yoshimi-1.5.10.2 and dev-libs/mxml-3.1. When I start yoshimi from the console, the program crashes directly with the following output: Yoshimi 1.5.10.2 is starting mxml: XML does not start with '<' (saw ' '). XML: File /home/porcupineofthemoon/.config/yoshimi/yoshimi.config is not XML XML: Not good, XMLwrapper peek on an empty parentstack XML: Not good, XMLwrapper peek on an empty parentstack extractConfigData, no BASE_PARAMETERS branch Bail: Yoshimi stages a strategic retreat :-( After deleting the config folder above, yoshimi starts one time without errors, yet to crash again after a second start. A downgrade to dev-libs/mxml-3.0::gentoo [3.1::gentoo] USE="threads -static-libs" solved the issue.
This has been fixed by upstream with 1.6.0.1 and newer. Current version is 1.6.1. -> https://github.com/Yoshimi/yoshimi/releases
