Just sayin', this is officially what upstream describe it as: https://metacpan.org/pod/Filesys::DiskSpace#NAME Same goes for Test-SharedFork https://metacpan.org/pod/Test::SharedFork#NAME While of course we can deviate from that, I generally try to stick with upstreams decription (partly for reasons of simplifying automation) If better descriptions can be provided without needing to put the word "perl" in them ( Which would be terribly redundant ), I'd welcome it, and possibly submit the change upstream as well.
(In reply to Kent Fredric (IRC: kent\n) from comment #1) > Just sayin', this is officially what upstream describe it as: > > https://metacpan.org/pod/Filesys::DiskSpace#NAME "Disk space information"? ;-) > > Same goes for Test-SharedFork > > https://metacpan.org/pod/Test::SharedFork#NAME I'm not sure if I understand its purpose correctly which also proves how bad the description is. Maybe: "Ensure that tests work correctly when fork() is used" > > While of course we can deviate from that, I generally try to stick with > upstreams decription (partly for reasons of simplifying automation) > > If better descriptions can be provided without needing to put the word > "perl" in them ( Which would be terribly redundant ), I'd welcome it, and > possibly submit the change upstream as well.
The bug has been closed via the following commit(s): https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=dd760dbea78c8829307280a4bf08fced214a239e commit dd760dbea78c8829307280a4bf08fced214a239e Author: Kent Fredric <kentnl@gentoo.org> AuthorDate: 2019-07-08 11:28:15 +0000 Commit: Kent Fredric <kentnl@gentoo.org> CommitDate: 2019-07-08 11:28:15 +0000 dev-perl/Filesys-DiskSpace: Improve DESC re bug #689452 Hopefully upstream will adopt our wording when they ship the next release sometime this century, and if not, automated tooling may take their improved version when that occurs.
