The current version in portage (7.0) has some pretty major bugs (eg. 100% cpu usage, https://github.com/midori-browser/core/issues/323 ), which seems to have been fixed with 9.0+. Please upgrade.
I'm sorry about the delay. I'll take care of this at once. I've also added their releases feed, so I don't miss new releases in the future.
