I run sensors-detect script to generate the configuration for lm_sensors and at the end I get this message:

Note: You only have created the required configuration to autoload the
required modules to use your sensors on boot. If you want to start using
your sensors right now you have to either load them now once manually, to
reboot this system or to execute the following command(s) _AFTER_
you have updated your config files:

  # /etc/init.d/modules-load restart

However, the above init-script does not exist in my system:

/etc/init.d/modules-load restart
bash: /etc/init.d/modules-load: No such file or directory

But the is a file /etc/init.d/modules So, I guess there is either a mistake in the message or there is something wrong with my system and /etc/init.d/modules-load must exist?

I use sys-apps/openrc-0.41.2
Comment 1 Thomas Deutschmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2019-03-13 03:26:17 UTC
modules-load service has been combined into the
modules service in openrc-0.36 (https://github.com/OpenRC/openrc/commit/6b475ab26992f1dd8815700828df46abc4b71d27#diff-c4c7c765330749006cde336e871995f7). We need to update documentation.
