>=dev-python/cherrypy depends on >=dev-python/cheroot-6.3.0 . The most recent version of cheroot is 6.5.4 . However, the current tree only has 6.0.0-r1 as most recent. Please include more recent versions in the tree. A simple local version bump of the 6.0.0-r1 ebuild worked fine for me for 6.1.0, 6.2.0, 6.3.0, 6.4.0, and 6.5.4. Since 6.5.4 requires an as yet unstable version of OpenSSL, it would be nice to have 6.3.0 and 6.5.4.
The unit tests need https://pypi.org/project/pytest-testmon/ and https://pypi.org/project/trustme/.
latest upstream is 8.2.1 https://github.com/cherrypy/cheroot/releases/tag/v8.2.1
