Hi Gentoo devs, yesterday, I released a bugfix release of KPA, version 5.4.1. It's not announced on the homepage yet, but KDE's sysadmin already put it on the mirrors. Please add it to the tree as soon as possible and remove v5.4 – this is a hotfix release fixing (KDE) Bug #403668 which lead to data loss if non-ASCII characters were used in category names. It's a pure bugfix release, so simply renaming the ebuild should work. Thanks in advance! Cheers, Tobias
It's from a different branch than 5.x?
I created a branch starting from the v5.4 tag and applied the respective patches.
It does not seem like it: CMakeLists.txt has "project(kphotoalbum VERSION 5.4)" and the exiv2 patch is broken (=already applied).
(talking about the 5.4.1 tarball there)
Oh ... then apparently, something went wrong using the releaseme script ... the tag in git is correct, but perhaps, the releaseme script (or I?!) messed up because it's not a tag in master. I'll check this. Thanks for pointing this out!
While it is re-uploaded, that would also be an opportunity to put it below a <version> subdir as done with all other releases so far, then we can really just rename the ebuild. ;)
Like "5.4.x", according to the "5.x" branch? I never created or had to create branches for tags until now ...
No, just talking about the tarball download location (that was not in line with expectations for 5.4.1).
Ah okay. Well, this one is completely messed up ;-) Do you have a minute to join #kphotoalbum on freenode? I think this is the wrong place for a chat ;-)

Thanks for the immediate bump, but please remove 5.4 asap and stabilize 5.4.2.
