It looks to work nice for me, it also renders multiple pages better than current (really old) stable version. Additionally, linux 12.x version never got updated to 12.18 that was including some security fixes: https://blogs.opera.com/security/2016/02/opera-12-and-opera-mail-security-update/ Also, as that old versions are not being audited, I am unsure about its security status and probably it would be better to have the newer versions in stable (even keeping the old one too for those wanting to keep the Presto version)

This is the first time anyone formally requested stabilisation of a version of Opera of the post-12.x era. > Additionally, linux 12.x version never > got updated to 12.18 that was including some security fixes: > https://blogs.opera.com/security/2016/02/opera-12-and-opera-mail-security- > update/ That was only released for Windows. > Also, as that old versions are not being audited, I am unsure about its > security status and probably it would be better to have the newer versions > in stable (even keeping the old one too for those wanting to keep the Presto > version) Sounds good. Mind that it does drop x86 support.
