I have released the following versions that might concern gentoo: elogind-238.2 (Service release) elogind-239.1 (New release) Besides a few fixes and updates there is one nasty bug now fixed: With the in-tree version closed sessions stay being in "closing" state forever. This has consequences for, as example, user switching in Plasma. Further I have something nice to report: Both versions build fine against glibc-2.28. So for once, elogind is ahead of systemd. 8^D (Sorry, couldn't resist to gloat a bit...)
