With the update of noto-20170403 to noto-20180905 the noto-mono font got removed. New version includes a noto-sans-mono font. The problem with that one is that it combines letters like "fi" or "fl" to single letters, making it more or less useless as monospace font. Upstream bug: https://github.com/googlei18n/noto-fonts/issues/1021 Seems to be fixed in their repositories. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install noto-20180905 (~) 2. Set noto-sans-mono as monospace fot for example for konsole or firefox 3. Check an text that contains a "fi" somewhere Actual Results: "fi" gets combined to a letter that takes less space than the two woudl individually, messing up any "formatting" or terminal emulators that require monospace fonts (konsole) Expected Results: Sorry, no clue what to do...kind of just made this bug so that it is documented and maybe to "prevent" stabilisation of 20180905 and waiting for an upstream package that is fixed.
