Ebuild tells you what to do. * Please find and download arx_demo_english.zip and put it into /var/tmp/portage/games-rpg/arx-fatalis-demo-0-r1/distdir.
Even creating (it doesn't exixt) /var/tmp/portage/games-rpg/arx-fatalis-demo-0-r1/distdir and putting arx_demo_english.zip into it, nothing changes: the compliation process exits in tha way and the file arx_demo_english.zip appears to be deleted.

You've got one point; the message should tell you to put it in your actual distdir, not the temporary one for the current build.
