Description Chris L. Mason 2004-10-09 12:43:03 UTC
Instead of colour output, qpkg prints a bunch of garbage in the Terminal on ppc-macos. For example:

$ qpkg -I -v
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mnano-1.3.4 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mgentoolkit-0.2.0_pre8 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mglib-2.4.7 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mpython-fchksum-1.7.1 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mdialog-1.0.20040731 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mpkgconfig-0.15.0 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mwget-1.9.1-r2 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mdebianutils-1.16.7-r4 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mportage-2.0.51_rc7 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01msed-4.1.2 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mgettext-0.12.1-r2 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mgnuconfig-20040214 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mlibsystem-7.1 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mncurses-8.1 *x1b[0;0m
x1b[0;01m/x1b[36;01mreadline-4.3-r6 *x1b[0;0m

When run with the --nocolor option:

$ qpkg --nocolor -I -v
/nano-1.3.4
/gentoolkit-0.2.0_pre8
/glib-2.4.7
/python-fchksum-1.7.1
/dialog-1.0.20040731

Comment 2 Chris L. Mason 2004-10-09 13:00:24 UTC
Patch is working great. Thanks! Can this be commited?
Comment 3 Marius Mauch (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-10 15:53:25 UTC
qpkg and etcat are deprecated, please use equery instead.
Comment 4 Chris L. Mason 2004-10-12 15:06:41 UTC
Reopening for same reason as bug #66909
Comment 5 Marius Mauch (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-12-08 04:43:08 UTC
qpkg is deprecated, I won't fix it anymore and will likely remove/replace it
after gentoolkit-0.2.0.
