Most qpkg commands seem to work okay, but -f fails. For example: $ qpkg -f /usr/include/libintl.h xargs: -n: No such file or directory It looks like an incompatibility with the macosx xargs.
Try http://dev.gentoo.org/~usata/misc/qpkg-macos.patch. (It was posted to gentoo-osx list a while ago.)

qpkg and etcat are deprecated, please use equery instead.
So, if they are deprecated, should they not be removed from the package? So long as they are in the package, isn't this a valid bug? (in any event, is there any reason not to apply the patch?) Thanks.
Btw, equery doesn't appear ready. It has no man page, and lots of stuff is marked "unimplemented"
qpkg is deprecated, I won't fix it anymore and will likely remove/replace it after gentoolkit-0.2.0.
