@jer, it's your name on the mask, so please kindly finish what you started. The people subscribed to maintainer-needed have enough work on their plate already without other developers dumping more work on them.
I never maintained this package. I tried to work with its maintainers to make the ebuilds match nvidia-drivers' versions. In the end I resolved the issue by quite extensively rewriting the nvidia-drivers ebuilds and making them conditionally block nvidia-settings while the maintainers of nvidia-settings did nothing. Because nvidia-drivers' users keep getting confused about missing versions and/or how to combine matching versions, I masked it while the maintainers of nvidia-settings did nothing. Apparently the maintainers of nvidia-settings have since resigned their responsibilities for a package I never maintained. And now you want me to pick up the pieces? You're barking up the wrong tree. Please stop harassing me.
