I can look into adding this based on current 4.00.00_alpha ebuild, and check the live ebuild status at the same time) (in the meantime I added the bugfix release 3.05.02 to tree)
OK, cleaned ebuild based on live one seems to compile fine (I have not made additional testing). This will go in masked (as previous 4.0 alpha release), as this is not a stable version yet and breaks projects using it (see https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/OpenPaperwork/paperwork/blob/master/doc/install.debian.markdown for example), but feel free to test and report any ebuild issue!

Not sure how this "NEWS" file ended up in the committed ebuild, sorry it's fixed, and should be on next sync (check that file is not listed in DOCS variable anymore) Though now, bug #663564 looks pretty valid to fix (to get a proper 4.0 version)
