net-mail/mailutils is required by app-editors/emacs:26 as use-dependency. I have package.use.stable.masked the flag for now, in order not to delay stabilisation of emacs in bug 663248. Still it would be preferable to have mailutils stable. So, is it OK to stabilise net-mail/mailutils-3.4-r2? Then please add amd64, arm, ia64, ppc, ppc64, and x86 to CC. AFAICS, we'll need the following package list (CCing patrick for kyotocabinet): net-mail/mailutils-3.4-r2 amd64 arm ia64 ppc ppc64 x86 dev-db/kyotocabinet-1.2.76-r1 arm ia64 ppc

If you want emacs stable on sparc, you need this one, too.

ia64 stable
I'm hitting https://bugs.gentoo.org/669946 with this on amd64. To me it seems like the missing include never made it to this version and we'd need an r4 to actually fix that.
sparc stable. Last arch, closing.
