Kmymoney 5.0.0 and following, including current gentoo (only) version available 5.0.1-r2 are all buggy, especially reports are completely fubared. Could you restore previous versions, such as 4.8.1.1-r1 (it's not common practice to have only one version available in gentoo, anyway, is it ?) Please don't ask me about upstream bug report, they don't care, they don't answer on irc anymore. The project is almost dead..
Not going to happen, as Qt4 is being pruned from the tree any minute now. If you have a problem with reports but do not file upstream bugs, then certainly there is less of a chance it will be fixed. With a more precise error description one could at least go through their git repository, which *is* active.

If you can deal with kde-sunset overlay, the last available Qt4-based kmymoney ebuild is now there.
