This is an optional runtime dependency on newer x11-wm/enlightenment builds and missing ~alpha and ~arm keywords. I cant test this package on those arches, but decided to ask for a keyword request here. I couldnt find a reason why its not keyworded already. But since its optional, if arch teams dont want to add keywords, I guess use.mask is a working solution too. Please test & add keywords: sys-power/acpid-2.0.29-r1 ~alpha ~arm
I don't think any alphas have ACPI.
(In reply to Matt Turner from comment #1) > I don't think any alphas have ACPI. Debian seems to have packaged it for alpha, https://packages.debian.org/sid/acpid Unofficial port though, probably because alpha is not "officially" supported. Im not saying it works, and Im not saying alphas have ACPI feature, just something I found. As I can not test this myself, Ill trust what you have to say :) Using package.use.mask to block x11-wm/enlightenment[acpi] isnt a big deal, I just need someone more knowledgeable to give me advice how should I proceed. (wait for package testing, or add the mask?)
Sent patches adding "acpi" to profiles/arch/{alpha,arm}/use.mask for review by arch teams. Waiting for replies.
~arm added

ACPI is supported by Linux only on amd64, arm64, ia64, x86, according to drivers/acpi/Kconfig.
