/usr/portage/eclass/linux-info.eclass: line 777: ERROR_KALLSYMS_ALL.: bad substitution
 * The ebuild phase 'pretend' has exited unexpectedly. This type of
 * behavior is known to be triggered by things such as failed variable
 * assignments (bug #190128) or bad substitution errors (bug #200313).
 * Normally, before exiting, bash should have displayed an error message

Comment 5 Richard Yao (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2018-05-28 20:35:57 UTC
This was caused by a typo. It has already been fixed as part of this:

https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=972cb581ad7a149b72ec672824af0f76939b0d02
Comment 6 Richard Yao (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2018-05-28 20:38:24 UTC
Actually, my fix this morning missed one ebuild. I am reopening. This will be closed by a commit fixing it in a moment.
