Since the tests are restricted, what is the test plan for this? I find it a bit risky to only build-test something that operates close to network level as that has a great potential for endianess and alignment issues.

please test locally.  there were so many false negatives that it was impractical to keep them.

Have got stable 5.43 with 127.0.0.1:443 only :(

Fixed in 5.44: "Default accept address restored to INADDR_ANY"
