Hi, just after merge a directory appears /tmp/portage/.keras /var/tmp/portage/.keras # ls -al total 2 drwxr-xr-x 2 portage portage 3 May 9 21:21 . drwxrwxr-x 3 portage portage 3 May 9 21:21 .. -rw-r--r-- 1 portage portage 120 May 9 21:21 keras.json # cat keras.json { "epsilon": 1e-07, "image_data_format": "channels_last", "floatx": "float32", "backend": "tensorflow" } Funny thing is that I have PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/tmp" Any ideas why this directory and file appears? my guess is: /var/tmp/portage is portage user home directory. and mentioned file is default keras config. So something during the build creates that config to switch keras backend to tensorflow for user that is's being built as. I think it should not. https://keras.io/backend/ < explanation is here. keras is not installed and never have been. to verify that ebuild creates that mentioned file I completely deleted tensorflow and re-emerged and voila, dir is here. in the fist comment first mention of the directory should be /var/tmp/portage just missed that /var part.
