x11-libs/libXfont has been replaced by x11-libs/libXfont2. A new version of x11-apps/bdftopcf that depends on libXfont2 is being stabilized in bug 649316. A few more packages will need to be updated/removed.
just to clarify - new bdftopcf does not depend on libXfont2 - instead it got the small amount of code bundled that was found in libXfont, but not libXfont2 (was probably the only real consumer of it, so more like a code move, not bundling)
