Description ernsteiswuerfel archtester 2018-03-24 21:05:23 UTC
Hm, I thought www-client/otter already was keyworded for ppc? Latest 0.9.96 builds fine on ppc/ppc64.

Apart from that USE="webengine" should be masked on ppc/ppc64 since dev-qt/qtwebengine is based on chromium, which only supports IA-32, ARM, or MIPS (https://github.com/v8/v8/wiki).

    profiles/powerpc: mask www-client/otter[webengine], bug #651388

    www-client/otter[webengine] depends on dev-qt/qtwebengine which
    has limited arch support:
QtWebEngine can only be built for x86, x86-64, ARM, Aarch64, and MIPSel architectures.
        QtWebEngine will not be built.

While ppc64 browser seems to work ppc32 fails with assert() (i did not investigate much). Does ppc32 work for you?
Comment 8 ernsteiswuerfel archtester 2018-03-28 15:38:04 UTC
Yes, ppc32 works for me. Just checked and tried a few pages, to be sure. ;)

I'll update the package list once it gets finished building with USE="spell".
