Created attachment 521518 [details] xf86-video-intel-2.99.917_p20180214.ebuild Hi, attached is an ebuild for the latest xf86-video-intel driver from upstream (https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-intel/) Compared to xf86-video-intel-2.99.917_p20171018, It seems, it solved some window drag lags for me on Gnome as well as Plasma. atm I'm running a Lenovo X270 with HD 620 onboard graphics. I do not have different machines to test on. Cheers, Christian

The modesetting driver built into the xserver is recommended these days.
Thank You, I'm having noticeable performance problems with the modesetting drivers. I followed the intel guide in the wiki, but still much more graphical artifacts and tearing especially when resizing or dragging windows. It seems that Archers and FreeBSDers complaining about the same thing, so maybe we should give people the option to also try with a current version xf86-video-intel.
