hello! The current 0.12.6 is pretty old and I would like to release 0.17.4 which is available on https://github.com/tessus/apachetop/releases I will try to create the new ebuild myself. I am filing this ticket so I have some workspace to track my progress.
I've created a pull request. With that new ebuild, on my ~amd64 laptop I emerged with all possible USE flag combinations and confirmed the package works. There are quite a few patches that were applied on the previous version of source code. I tried to read through them, most of them are applied in the upstream. But I just couldn't fully understand what they do. So I gave up on it and just tried to emerge without them (which succeeded). Probably that's a very stupid step, but that's as much as I can do at the moment due to my limited knowledge in the subject. I also manually compared source code 0.12.6 vs 0.17.4 and most of it was code styling and a potential buffer overflow fix.
